Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known in the media as Ashanti was born on October 13, 1981 in Glen Cove New York United States. She's an actress and singer of in the United States. Ashanti, a teenage actor and singer from the United States had her name signed by Murder Inc. Records to record in 2002. In the same year, she appeared in Fat Joe's What's Luv? track and Ja Rule's Always on Time track both of which became massive hits. The first female artist to have the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States with Foolish at the top spot and the track What's Luv? What's Luv?
